Who We Are

Elohim Development Association is a community-based organization in Uganda committed to empowering vulnerable children, youth, and families through skills development and sustainable livelihood programs. We focus on long-term solutions that address the root causes of poverty and build self-reliance.
Founded as a children’s home, we have grown into a dynamic organization that equips individuals with practical skills and opportunities to live independent and dignified lives.

Our Transition: Why We Evolved

Elohim Development Association was originally established as a residential home for vulnerable children. While we provided care and protection, we realized that lasting change requires more than shelter.

We evolved our approach for three key reasons:

* Family belongs together:
We promote Family Resettlement, supporting children to grow up in safe and loving family environments.

* From Care to Career:
As a Vocational Center, we equip young people with practical, marketable skills for independence.

* Community Sustainability:

Through Gika Farm—our agricultural training initiative—we provide hands-on skills in farming and aquaculture, enabling communities to generate income and improve food security.
